Vale,el título es una broma muy friki : «The Bird and Baby», que es el
mote de «The Eagle and Child», un típico pub inglés que se encuentra en
la calle St. Giles’ (Oxford, Reino Unido), y que tiene una fuerte
asociación con el grupo literario conocido como los Inklings, al que
pertenecieron J. R. R. Tolkien y C. S. Lewis.
Y me gustaría pensar que fue de donde Tolkien salió con una borrachera
del quince, robó un autobús, y del trauma escribió «Mr Bliss» (pero no
lo puedo asegurar).
Okay, the title is a very freaky joke: «The Bird and Baby», which is the nickname of «The Eagle and Child», a typical English pub found on St. Giles’ Street (Oxford, UK), and that it has a strong association with the literary group known as the Inklings, to which JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis belonged.
And I’d like to think that’s where Tolkien came out on a big drunk, stole a bus, and wrote «Mr Bliss» out of the trauma (but I can’t be sure).
